Hard Floor Cleaners: Best for the Buck

The best hard floor cleaners combine power with versatility and of course are available at a great price. The wisest purchase would give you a vacuum that cleans hard dry surfaces, also has a heated-wet capacity and can dry the surface too.

Since you’re going to be using this tool quite a bit because of its varied uses, you also want it to be light. 10 pounds is a good weight as it will pack some punch but still not wear you out.

Three Main Functions

The dry mode is obviously your most normal usage as it will do your everyday jobs such as picking up pet hair, dirt, crumbs and anything else that might have found its way onto your floor.

The next feature is the heated wet mode that allows you to dispense cleaning solution while the brush does the deep cleaning on many floor surfaces. The best machines will have interchangeable pads that are machine washable.

The third feature that you want is a built in heater that allows you to select heated cleaning for sticky, stubborn areas that need a little extra power to really clean.

Other Features I Like

The machine must have an easy cord wrapping clip and it’s nice if the cord wrap can be quick released. The filter must be easy to replace and I want separate clean and dirty tanks. Extra pads are also nice.

I basically want this machine to replace my broom, dustpan, vacuum cleaner, mop and bucket. If it doesn’t at least do this, what’s the point? I want it to be thin and lightweight so that it can be stored easily also.
